Previously the word upset meant to overturn or to perturb someone mentally or emotionally. Now upset is most often used when a heavy favorite is unexpectedly defeated. Man O War was facing the wrong way at the walk up start and lost all chance from the get go, he lost by a neck and that is your history lesson for today.
